New Building Update March 2025

We have reached a major milestone for the building project with the team from Homestead Construction handing over the keys to us as they have finished Stage one and Two of the build. The club will now need to finish off the internal fit-out and exterior roading, paving and planting work. It is bittersweet knowing the progress that has been made and the fantastic job their team has done, but sadly we are still seeking funds to finish the project.

The building is now at a lockable state and the fencing has been taken out. The storage areas and the Lifeguarding areas will be complete in a couple of weeks and ready for us to store our equipment. We are working with council to get approval to use the finished areas so we train and patrol from the finished portions by the middle of the year.

We are still about $500,000 short to complete the build, and we will need a lot of help from everyone to get the job done. If you have not done it already, get your legacy wall tile or suggest a way to contribute to our fundraising. https://paekakarikisurflifeguards.store/

Please keep an eye out for posts about working bees over the next few months – we will need all hands on deck.
