Welcome to Paekākāriki Surf Lifeguards

We're a volunteer surf lifesaving club on the Kāpiti Coast, just north of Wellington, with a community of over 200 members - from our youngest nippers through to our most experienced lifeguards.

We lay claim to being the first country lifesaving club in all of Aotearoa. And we've been serious about helping keep everyone safe while enjoying our patch of coast ever since.

While our top priority is lifeguarding, our club is also a place to meet amazing people, build valuable skills, compete, and have fun.

We're looking forward to welcoming the community, supporters, and members past and present to celebrate the official opening of our new clubrooms, Haumia, on 17 and 18 October 2026.
