Keep your event safe
Paekākāriki Surf Lifeguards can provide lifeguarding services for community events, sports competitions, filming, and other activities along our coastline. Our qualified lifeguards bring the skills, experience, and equipment needed to help manage water safety at your event.
What we can provide:
- Qualified surf lifeguards for water safety coverage
- Risk assessment and safety planning advice
- Rescue equipment including IRBs (Inflatable Rescue Boats) where appropriate
- First aid response
- Clear communication with event organisers
Whether it's a ocean swim, triathlon, community fun day, or corporate event, we'll work with you to create a safety plan that fits your needs.
Beach safety and adaptive surf sessions
We're passionate about sharing our knowledge of the ocean and helping people stay safe at the beach.
We offer beach safety education sessions for schools and youth groups, and community organisations. And host adaptive surf sessions in partnership with Halberg Foundation so that people of all abilities can enjoy the water safely.
What we can cover:
- How to stay safe at the beach
- Understanding surf conditions, rips and hazards
- What to do in an emergency
- Swimming between the flags
- Hands-on activities and demonstrations
Our friendly lifeguards make learning about beach safety engaging and fun, while giving people the confidence and knowledge to enjoy our coastline safely.
