For Nippers aged U11 and above, earning a 200m swim badge is an important milestone. It shows Nippers have the swimming fitness and competence needed to participate fully in activities and competitions.

To complete the badge, participants must swim 200m in a pool unaided in under 7 minutes, followed by 1 minute of treading water unaided.

We run badge testing sessions at the start of the season and throughout the year as needed. 2026/27 dates to be confirmed.

Why it matters:

• Required for U11-U14 Nippers to participate in board training
• Needed for entry into many competition events
• Shows you have the swimming ability to safely take part in surf activities
• Builds confidence in the water
