Hi there
A wee wrap on end of season info.
It was great to see the kids competing at club champs, for some
it was a real challenge to complete the swims but loads gave it go
and we all got a buzz out of seeing them taking part. We hoped you
enjoyed staying around for a bit afterwards and the meal we shared,
thanks to those who bought the yummy food . We have once
again received some great photos from Gareth Davies of the day
which I have finally put on Facebook, these photos are, as always,
brilliant and we are very lucky to have had Gareth doing that for
us this season, thanks Gareth!
Trophies from the club champs will be awarded at our prize
giving.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE TO PRIZE GIVING NOW ON SATURDAY 11
MAY, 5:30 pm
Sorry we had to change the date of prize giving, we hope you can
all make it. Every nipper will receive a certificate at prize
giving plus a wee goodie bag, we will also acknowledge club champ
winners and other great performances for the season. This is
a prize giving for the whole club, we will have a BBQ after wards,
everyone is asked to provide salad and/or dessert, we provide
meats. Kids will get fed first with a sausage sizzle.
We have also received the results from the Capital Coast Series
we have the following do very well from our club:

Results from the series are now on the SLSNZ website http://sport.surflifesaving.org.nz/results/2012-2013-results/
Congratulations to those listed above, to get those placings is
a great achievement. These winners are normally acknowledged
at the Capital Coast Prizegiving, more details on that to
follow.
Whilst the club is now winding down for Winter we still have 10
club members competing in the Aussie Nationals, they leave on
16th April for the week-long event.
We also have our Centenary being celebrated on Labour Weekend of
this year. Registrations for that will be open soon, please
acknowledge your interest on that via our website http://www.paekakarikisurflifeguards.org.nz/centenary/registration/
Of most interest to our Nipper section is that on the Sunday of
Labour Weekend we plan to run a Nipper like Sunday session, i.e. we
hope to get loads of Nippers and other members at the club having
fun on the beach and mixing with our older and past members of the
club. We hope to make this a big club day so please keep that
Sunday free to join in with our Centenary celebrations.
Look forward to seeing you all at club champs on
11th May, hope the Easter bunny comes to all good
Nippers and their families.
Cheers
Sandra
