CDO Update, Capital Coast, Wednesday 5 June 2013

Posted by Elyse Robert on Thursday, 6 June 2013

Hi Everyone

A quick update from me this week. Hope you're all keeping warm and dry!

IRB Purchasing

Effective immediately, any clubs wishing to purchase an IRB hull should contact Arancia directly for a quote/order.

SLSNZ is no longer pre-purchasing IRB hulls to on-sell to clubs as this middleman role is not required with Arancia's current stocking and supply arrangements.

Clubs will still be able to access the same bulk pricing arrangements previously in place via SLSNZ.

If clubs want to purchase an IRB motor they should continue to contact Dave Hickey - as SLSNZ will continue to purchase the parts in bulk, arrange for their assembly and delivery of the final product.

Dave will remain in close contact with Arancia, so if clubs want to place an order for a complete boat and motor package they can contact either Dave or Arancia and they will work together to arrange quotes and/or supply.

Contact details for Arancia are:

I'm going off grid!

Most of you will know, but for those that don't, I was lucky enough to be selected to attend Outward Bound. I head to Anakiwa in the Marlborough Sounds on Sunday 9th June, returning to Wellington Saturday 29th June. I will be completely off the grid, with no phone or email for the full three weeks!

While I'm away Brent Harvey will be your point of contact. You can reach Brent on: 04 382 7210 or brent.harvey@surflifesaving.org.nz

To learn more about Outward Bound visit www.outwardbound.co.nz. No doubt I'll have plenty of stories to share when I return.

Beach Education

Bookings for Beach Ed have now opened. If your local school is interested in getting involved direct them to www.slsnz.org.nz/education

We will also be putting out information regarding summer staff job applications (including Regional Guard) shortly. This is a great opportunity for our members to get paid doing what they love.

So if you are looking for some fun work over the summer break, keep it in mind and apply as soon as the info is out!

Have a great month. Will catch up with you in July

Zoƫ
