Centenary Manager
This is a part time voluntary position relating to the
Paekakariki Surf Lifeguards centenary celebration over Labour
weekend 2013. The Centenary Manager will work closely with
the Chairperson of the Centenary committee and with the Chairperson
of the club's management committee to direct, manage and oversee
the centenary celebrations.
Position Requirements
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
- Co-ordinate and manage events in line with the centenary
programme
- Co-ordinate the setting up of the clubrooms, Memorial Hall and
Police College
- Liaise with the caterers for both functions
- Organise the volunteer help in accordance with the roster
developed by the management committee
- Liaise and co-ordinate with external suppliers such as Liquor
King, Wheelie bin supplier, security to ensure equipment and
supplies are delivered in accordance with the centenary plan
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the celebrations
- Be a team player
Personal attributes
- Experience in event management
- Excellent organisation skills and time management skills
- Experience in managing volunteers
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure

We need volunteers to help us with the running of the various
events that make up our Centenary programme. Below is a list of
events, duties, and timeframes that we need assistance with. If you
feel you can assist with one or more of these tasks please send an

- Bar staff (must be 18+)

Saturday Morning - 8.30-10.30am
Saturday Afternoon 2.00-4.00pm
Sunday Morning - 12 Noon
- BBQ preparation (at the Club)
- Bar Staff (must be 18+)

Monday Morning
- Clean up crew to pack down the club
