Nipper Update, 4 December 2013

Posted by Elyse Robert on Thursday, 5 December 2013

Hi there

Sorry another email from me this week but some info to pass on re: Results, Vests, Tuesday training and Oceans 15

Also fantastic news as 2 of our current Nippers, Thomas Downs and Nore De Ridder have both just turned 14 and become qualified lifeguards after passing their tests on Sunday.  We are always proud of our new lifeguards but especially so when they are also Nippers, well done Thomas and Nore!

Results

The results from the last carnival are now available, check them out here (Capital Coast results)

http://www.surflifesaving.org.nz/sport/results/2013-2014-results/#CRresults

If you think there is a query on any of these results please let me know and we can investigate.  We know some of the younger kids sprints results weren't necessarily recorded correctly, whilst this is frustrating for all thanks for your patience and good sportsmanship on the day.  Hopefully it will run all Ok this week (it did once Lynnie took charge last time J)

Pink Vests

As these are compulsory on Sunday at the Otaki carnival we will have some for sale at the Pool on Thursday night.  $20 Cash or Cheque only.  I'll also have them on Sunday, again $20 cash or cheque.

Tuesday Trainings

These have been going well but it has been decided these will take place at Paekakariki Beach from now on, starting at 5:30 pm (or as close to it as possible each week).  These sessions will be particularly valuable to all those who want to go to Oceans this season, it will be a good opportunity to extend the kids and work on team combinations.  The sessions are however open to all members 10 yrs and up with 200m badge.

Oceans 14

As per my last email we need to have an indication now whether you are attending Oceans in the Mount 20th to 23rd Feb 2014.  If you have any queries please discuss with us on Sunday or other families who have previously attended.

Regards
