CDO Update, Capital Coast, Tuesday 2 April 2013

Posted by Elyse Robert on Tuesday, 2 April 2013

Hi Clubbies!

For those of you that completed your patrols last weekend, well done! It's been a long and busy season and you should all be very proud of the work you've done this summer!

The work isn't quite over yet… and here's a few reminders of what's still to come:

  • The March ROM is due Friday this week. I know there's been some great preventative work going on out there so be sure to nominate your club for the good work they have done. All the details are on the SLSNZ web pages. Click here to find out more.
  • Patrol Data should be loaded onto PAM ASAP. Be sure to have this loaded on as accurately as possible. The better the stats are the better the story we can tell… This goes for any callouts or police work your club may have been involved in. If your club has been involved you would have been supplied a 'tasking number'. Add this to your incident report form and onto PAM.
  • Last week I sent an email to Club Chairs, Captains, Instructors, Coaches and Administrators calling for nominations for the 2012/2013 Honours and Awards. These are our top awards for the season and are awarded to:  Lifeguard of the Year;  Instructor of the Year;  Official of the Year;  Coach of the Year;  Sportsperson of the Year;  Sports Team of the Year;  Volunteer of the Year;  Innovation Award.

Timeline for Capital Coast Awards of Excellence:

Nominations Open         Monday 18 March 2013

Nominations Close        Sunday 28 April 2013

Winners Decided           Sunday 5 May 2013

Awards of Excellence    Saturday 25th May 2013 (details of the event will be circulated to all members soon)

Talk to your club administrator now about how you can nominate someone. All the details are available here (pdf).

Club Prize-giving's will be no doubt happening soon. If you're club is having a function please let me know. I'm more than happy to help where I can and attend if wanted J

Hope you all had a safe and happy Easter!
